Actually, I’ve been done for a few days, but this is the first chance I’ve had to crow about it.

This past Monday, our final assignments for the ProGen Study Group were due. I turned in my proof argument juuuuuust under the wire, so I believe that I am now officially a ProGen Alumni (I hope)!

I joined the 2nd group – a.k.a. ProGen 2 – back in September 2008, and it has been a wonderful experience. I am definitely not the same genealogist, or even the same person, that I was 19 months ago when we began.

Many thanks to our fearless Coordinator, Debbie Parker Wayne, and our inspiring Mentor, Stefani Evans, CG. You both kept us on our toes and encouraged us (me) to keep going, even when it seemed like we just had to quit.

To my peer group mates: I will miss our monthly chats very much, as well as your wise input and your excellent suggestions. I look forward to our “reunion” chats in the future, and maybe even Debbie’s Challenge??

Seriously though, I’m sad that it’s over, but darn proud that I hung in there, despite herniated discs, a busy, busy preschooler, and all the other rotten tomatoes that life can hurl.

If you haven’t already done so, I highly recommend enrolling in a future ProGen Study Group. The leadership is outstanding, the price is right (free!), and you will learn more than you ever imagined you needed to know. Go to today and click on the “Join Waiting List” link. I promise, you won’t regret it!
